Rick Hanson, PhD
Co-Founder
Rick Hanson, Ph.D. is one of our the Resilient Parent Initiative founding members. He is a psychologist, Senior Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Initiative, and New York Times best-selling author. His expertise lies in positive neuroplasticity, with work featured on CBS, NPR, the BBC, and other major media. He began meditating in 1974 and has taught in meditation centers worldwide. He and his wife live in Northern California and have two adult children. He loves the wilderness and taking a break from emails.

Renee Brna
Advisory Committee Member
Renee Brna is a student therapist in Las Vegas, working toward her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at the UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include parental burnout, mindfulness, and family dynamics.
She helped launch the Resilient Parent Initiative as a research assistant and content curator and now serves on its advisory committee. Renee lives with her husband, two kids, and their affectionate Border Collie.

Sydney Felder is a writer, internationally certified yoga instructor, allied health professional based in Brooklyn, NY. They specialize in patient care, training and education, health communications, and clinical research. They are a dedicated dog mom to a lovely Pittie named Birdie and an avid hobbyist.
