Use this mindful breathing exercise to sync up with your partner. 

  1. Lie down or sit facing your partner
  2. Gently put your foreheads together
  3. Take 7 deep breaths in sync with your partner (you can do more if you want!)

And that’s it! Deep breathing helps our brain and body relax, helping us resolve conflict from a more mindful and grounded place. Studies show that interactional synchrony (coordinating actions and behaviors) with things like aligning our breaths promotes affection towards others and also facilitates joint attention and action — getting you and your partner back on the same page.
